Mea Culpa

I am in sin.
These tears I shed out number the stars overhead.
The rain baptizes my heart.
I let go of my doubt, my regrets.
I let go of this life, I cling to the new.
I find no pleasure in this pain.
I feel better than ever.
I have a new future, an old past, and a new life to live.
This emotion swallows my soul.
I am born again anew.
This poem is supposed to "encourage" the reader. I wrote it in an effort to encourage myself, it didn't work. I am both simultaneously jealous and disgusted by anyone silly enough to be able to by into fuzzy wuzzy sentiments like these.
